CTI Announces Additions and Promotions in the Legal Department

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services (CTI), a multi-national, privately held, full-service contract research organization is pleased to announce the promotion of Jasmin Öztekin to Senior International Corporate Counsel and the addition of Derek Vanover to the legal department.

Jasmin Öztekin, LL.M. - Senior International Corporate Counsel

Jasmin joined CTI in July 2014 as Corporate Counsel, Europe, bringing with her more than 15 years of legal experience in the clinical research industry. In her five years at CTI, Jasmin has been responsible for much of the legal work outside the United States, including sponsor, vendor, employment and site contracting, and labor relations. Jasmine has also taken responsibility for a variety of regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters, most recently including reviewing, assessing and implementing the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and is the in-house authority concerning our compliance program.

Jasmin earned her Master of Laws from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.

Derek Vanover, Esq. - Corporate Counsel

Derek joins CTI with a background in various legal disciplines. Prior to joining CTI, Derek spent six years at a boutique transactional firm focused primarily in business, tax, healthcare, and sports/entertainment. In his new role with CTI, Derek will facilitate contracts between sites and sponsors, manage the contracting for CTI’s Clinical Research Center, and advise in general business and employee relations.

Derek earned his undergraduate degree in history from University of Kentucky and his Juris Doctorate from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
