CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services Announces Promotions of Finance Directors

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services (CTI), a multi-national, privately held, full-service contract research organization proudly announces the promotions of Brian Lawrence and Marty Budke to Senior Director, Finance and Taxation and Director, Accounting & Finance, respectively.
"Both Brian and Marty have been integral parts to CTI's finance department, providing valuable expertise and leadership," says Maria Marsh, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "As our business continues to expand, both will continue to play a large role in the development of this department."
Brian Lawrence, CPA - Senior Director, Finance and Taxation
Lawrence has been with CTI since 2014 and has quickly risen to lead the taxation and financial planning for CTI. He has successfully closed out audits and filings, identified areas for tax savings, and developed tax policy and best practices for the company. Additionally, he was instrumental in the implementation of the Intacct Accounting Software and the Adaptive Insights Budgeting Software, and he continues to lead development of improvements in both systems. Lawrence was invited by Intacct to participate in the key note address to approximately 3,000 attendees at Intacct's annual conference in Orlando this past October. He is also an integral member of the team that analyzed location choice and move logistics of CTI's new headquarters in Covington, KY.
Prior to joining CTI, Lawrence spent nearly a decade as a Tax Manager at Clark Schaefer Hackett. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Wright State University.
Marty Budke, CPA - Director, Accounting and Finance
Budke joined CTI in 2015 with extensive experience in corporate accounting. He has brought that expertise to his role at CTI, making a number of contributions to the company including the development of an in-house travel team and numerous relationshps with vendors resulting in cost-savings to the company. Additionally, Budke has been instrumental in CTI's initiative to go paperless in the finance department, and to implement various systems and upgrades.
Prior to joining CTI, Budke spent nearly 20 years with Convergys. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.
