CTI and Xavier University Announce New Online Master's Program in Health Analytics

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [Cincinnati, OH ~ December 5, 2016]

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services (CTI), a multi-national, privately held, full-service contract research organization, is expanding its collaboration with Xavier University on the Master of Science in Health Economic and Clinical Outcomes Research (HECOR) degree program, which began in the Fall of 2015. After a successful first year, the program is expanding to an online version in early 2017.

“The program that we have developed in partnership with Xavier is one of only a handful in the country,” said Dr. Candace Gunnarsson, Vice President of Health Economics and Outcomes Research at CTI and current professor in the HECOR program. “Students will study health economics, data mining, statistical modeling and epidemiology as they prepare for careers as analysts, managers and directors in the fast-growing field of health care analytics that includes outcomes research, policy, economics and reimbursement. This new online version will allow students to interact with world-renowned thought leaders in Health Economics from all over.”

“The master’s program in Health Economic and Clinical Outcomes Research is a good example of building on our strength, building a partnership and supporting a growing health services market,” said Xavier President Michael J. Graham, S.J.

When CTI announced its new headquarters earlier this year, the company also reinforced its commitment to its presence adjacent to Xavier University as part of the University Station development. At the time, CTI’s Chief Executive Officer, Timothy Schroeder, stated, "We expect to expand our relationship with Xavier University, including the innovative Health Economic and Clinical Outcomes Research graduate program.”
