CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services announces the hiring of Tom Winrod and Paula Ulsh.
Thomas Winrod, RN, has joined as Associate Director, Clinical Trials
Tom has been in healthcare for over 25 years in both patient care and clinical research. Tom comes to CTI from INC Research (formerly Kendle International) where he spent the past 12 years as a Project Manager and Senior Project Leader, coordinating and overseeing all operational aspects of clinical projects across all functional areas. He has global experience in Phase I-IV trials and a tremendous background in a variety of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular health, neurology, gastroenterology, inflammatory disease, respiratory health, rheumatoid arthritis, and women’s health. Tom also previously served as Director of Research at Community Research Centers and as Director of Research Development at Community Clinical Trials.
Tom earned his RN and received training as a Physician Assistant from the Naval School of Health in Great Lakes, IL, where he served over five years.
“Tom’s diverse therapeutic experience and years in the healthcare industry are a huge asset to the CTI team,” according to Kevin Schwarz, Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations at CTI. “Tom’s global experience will also be beneficial as CTI continues to expand our global footprint.”
Paula Ulsh, RN, BSN has joined as Assistant Director, Medical and Scientific Affairs
Paula has over 25 years of experience in critical care/transplant nursing, clinical research, and academia.
Paula comes to CTI from CSL Behring, where she was a Transplant Medical Science Liaison for the last few years. Paula has also served as Senior Director, Clinical Operations at Prosanos Corporation, Director of Clinical Operations, Operations Manager at Iberica USA, Inc, Clinical Trials Office Director at Hershey Medical Center and Clinical Director Phase I Unit at Thomas Jefferson University. Paula also has a variety of clinical experience working as a transplant and research coordinator for over fifteen years at Hershey Medical Center. Paula has published numerous manuscripts, and presented abstracts at multiple industry meetings. Paula earned her BSN from the Pennsylvania State University.
